She came and she felt that
Their connection
She saw him cry
And wanted to help
She wanted to try
She put in her all to uplift
As she went toward him
He pulled away
He left
And like that he was gone
While he tried to break her with his words,
Which her heart had never known
She knew it was time
And just like that she was gone
Nothing more to say
Until this day
Her voice silenced
He couldn’t break her
Little did he know
She was very strong
So she said, so long

I raise my hand to your grace

You see her face

She was there to lift him up
Because he prayed for her to come
Then he decided to push her away
Discarded
She then set her boundaries from
His manipulation, immaturity, harsh
Words and games
She cared
He got scared
And while she watched on
She wanted nothing in return
He gave to everyone else
Even giving of himself
And like that she was gone
She left
And as the sun rose
Her lack of presence was deeply felt

A homeless mother
Trying to feed her kids
She busy on the run
Her and her kids living on the streets,
She’s worried about his mood
Could it be the food
That goes into his body
Putting cookies in his hand
For breakfast
And chips for dinner
Because she ain’t got time to or
A place to cook
Just trying to stay warm
And keep her kids from harm
A disaster for youth diabetes
So what can we do, this is real
But society don’t want to deal
So here we are
All the toxicity
Awareness, we got to do better
Sigh.. he cries because his belly so bloated
All that junk food loaded
He needs a healthier diet, but.. what
We are here.

So much turmoil
